IT'S ONLY A BLUE MOUNTAIN
This experimental film examines the relationship between an old lady and her faithful companions: a cat, a TV and a balcony. There is a repetitive need to go out and recollect the memories of the youth spent in the city, which are represented by the view of a mountain. It is the only view available from the balcony. A mountain that has been there before us, and will probably stay way after we are gone. It is the silent witness to our joy and heartbreaks. Maybe as we grow older the world becomes smaller, and quirkier. A nostalgic piece about the "Blue Mountains" famous in my hometown.
Virago: Changing the World One Page At A Time
In 1973 a group of women got together and formed Virago Press; an imprint, they said, for 52 per cent of the population. These women were determined to make change - and they would start by giving women a voice, by giving them back their history and reclaiming women's literature.
